Development of comprehensive mobile application security certification processes for banking

Abstract
The digital transformation of banking services has accelerated dramatically in recent years, with mobile applications becoming the primary interface between financial institutions and their customers. This shift has introduced complex security challenges that traditional certification frameworks are ill-equipped to address. This research addresses the critical need for a comprehensive certification framework that can adapt to the evolving threat landscape while maintaining the rigorous standards required for financial applications. Our work introduces several novel contributions including a continuous certification model that replaces periodic assessments with real-time monitoring and evaluation, integration of behavioral biometric authentication as a core component of the certification criteria, and incorporation of quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols to future-proof banking applications against emerging computational threats.
